"Bir Cumhuriyet Şarkısı" Historical Drama Premiering Exclusively at "CineMastercard" from October 25th
The historical drama "Bir Cumhuriyet Şarkısı" (A Song of the Republic), a monumental work dedicated to the historical events that shaped Turkey in the 1930s, will be screening exclusively at the "CineMastercard" premium cinema starting on October 25th.
The film is a large-scale production by BKM Studio, focused on the transformative years of Turkey under the leadership of the legendary Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, during which the new republic was founded.
Directed by Yağız Alp Akaydin, the film stars talented actors, with Salih Bademci portraying Ahmet Adnan Saygun, one of the founders of Turkey’s national music school and the composer of the first national opera. Melis Sezen plays his wife, the pianist Mediha.
Ertan Saban takes on the role of the movement’s leader, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, while Birce Akalay plays Nimet Vahid, the country’s first opera singer. Ahmet Rıfat Sunqar will portray Münir Hayri Egeli, and Okan Yalabık stars as Osman Zeki Ungör, the first artistic director of the presidential symphonic orchestra.
Filming began on March 11, 2024, and the long-awaited premiere is scheduled for 2024, in honor of the Republic's centennial.
